The fund is co-managed by Mike Fox, George Crowdy and Sebastien Beguelin who look for companies that deliver a net benefit to society in terms of the products and services they provide or that show leadership in environmental, social, and governance management. The fund aims to deliver sustainable growth over time. Positive screens of companies begin the process with the target of looking for firms that can exhibit this sustainable growth. Negative screens are also in place which means the fund is prohibited from investing in armaments and tobacco companies. The fund has a large-cap bias on the equities side as the team believe bigger companies are better placed to address sustainability issues faced by society, while still being able to generate good long-term returns for shareholders. The fixed income side has bias to higher rated corporate bonds. At least 60% of the portfolio must be invested in equities, but it can go up to 85%.
