This fund is managed by Andy Warwick and Aron Pataki and aims to achieve a positive real rate of return on a rolling three year basis. The team's first priority is capital protection and then, over the long term, the team look to deliver returns of 4% above cash per annum. They run an unconstrained and flexible approach which initially uses thematic research to identify opportunities as well as fundamentals and valuations. The fund is widening its use of other asset classes and now invests in government bonds, precious metals and derivatives. Cash is also used to limit any portfolio drawdowns. We think this fund is worthy of consideration by investors with a more cautious risk tolerance.
