After staying at home for 12 years and being a full time mum and child minder, I decided to join the adults and get back into the work place.

I went to work for the AA selling General Insurance. After two years, due to redundancies, I went to work for what was then Norwich Union (now called Aviva) and became a General Insurance Underwriter. Working within such a large organisation gave me the opportunity to work in different locations around the country. Whilst at Aviva the company decided to set up a telephone response team. The team were set up to make quick underwriting decisions. It was very fast paced but great fun. The team were an amazing bunch of people many of whom I keep contact with.

When Aviva announced they were to shut all their UK call centres for General Insurance, I decided on moving into a different area of the Financial Services and through a contact I had made in my Aviva days I came to Willis Owen. I have been here for 12 years and have seen many changes. Each day brings new challenges and no two days are the same.

When I am not at work I like to spend my time with my family. My weekends are generally filled with grandchildren and their various activities.
