The approach of investing in companies generally unloved by the stockmarket but where the manager believes there is recovery potential has not changed since the fund was launched almost 40 years ago.
The current manager, Tom Dobell, has continued to apply this approach since his appointment in 2000 and has been very successful in doing so.
